Mindwrap announces a new version of the Optix Workstation for Windows as a part of its Optix Electronic Document Management and Workflow software suite

Mindwrap announces a new version of the Optix Workstation for Windows as a part of its Optix Electronic Document Management and Workflow software suite. Version 7 for Windows is designed to take full advantage of the Windows XP operating system, including support for multiple user accounts while maintaining separate user preferences.

According to Jim Small, mindwrap President, “Companies today are assigning multiple user accounts on the same Windows workstation when sharing hardware because of the greater security awareness on the part of IT managers. We’re responding by making multiple user installations easier for our customers, and allowing each user to customize their own experience.”

Other key features of Version 7 include more options to control security, as well as access to the Optix Server log to provide greater visibility of the repository audit trail at the desktop.

mindwrap has also added support to the Windows workstation for the Fujitsu fi-5120C and fi-5220C Color Duplex Workgroup Scanners. These scanners are the replacements for the Fujitsu fi-4120C/C2 and fi-4220C/C2 scanners and both offer a new, advanced ultrasonic double feed detection feature as well as support for hard card and embossed card scanning using the ADF.

Optix Workstation for Windows Version 7 will be available first quarter 2006.
