Archive: Mindwrap Brings Document Access to the iPhone

Mindwrap releases Optix Web module to support document repository query, retrieval, view, and email from Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch.

Mindwrap, Inc – a leading provider of cross-platform document management and workflow solutions – today announced that it has enhanced its Optix Web product to support wireless query, view, and email of documents stored in a central Optix repository, allowing remote users to access critical corporate information anywhere. Mindwrap plans to demonstrate the new functionality at the upcoming Macworld Conference and Exposition, January 15-19, 2008, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA in booth #1743.

The new capability streamlines the wireless document access process, allowing users to find and view documents in seconds using custom query pages tailored for the iPhone screen using the Optix Application Generator, provided with each Optix system.

According to Craig Landrum, Mindwrap’s CTO, “The iPhone and iPod Touch browser-based page zooming allows scanned paper documents to be easily viewed – even multipage PDF documents are supported”.

Mindwrap’s world-class Optix solution, which is in place at top-name educational, commercial, and government organizations, is renowned for its unrivalled support for Macintosh and Windows platforms, rich functionality, ease of use, and rapid deployment. Installation and training times for Optix are usually measured in days instead of months. Optix empowers system administrators and end users with a powerful set of intuitive tools to quickly create and deploy new, secure applications. Optional modules support web-based query, viewing, and workflow operations.
