Mindwrap releases Optix module for automatic archiving of E-Mail to help organizations meet new Federal guidelines.

Mindwrap, Inc – a leading provider of cross-platform document management and workflow solutions – today announced that it will release Optix Mail Director – a new complimentary module for the Optix Document Management and Workflow suite of products. Optix Mail Director provides department and enterprise installations with the ability to automatically index and archive E-Mail messages, including all attachments, and to query and find them in seconds.

Written in JAVA and compatible with Unix, Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X servers, the module can automatically populate target database record fields based on the contents of E-Mail headers, To/From addresses, Subject, and Body text using easy to configure rules. In addition, clients have the ability to write custom plugins modules to perform more sophisticated analysis, indexing operations, or system integration.
